Welcome to Gearfinch — and why we built it

A short intro to who we are, what we track, and the rules we follow when we tell you something is a deal.

If you've spent any weekend comparing activewear prices across five browser tabs — Gymshark, Alo, NVGTN, Oner, maybe a dupe from AYBL — you know the problem. Every brand runs its own sales calendar. Every deal site inflates the "was" price. Every discount comes with a catch buried in the footer.

We got tired of it. Gearfinch is what we built instead.

What we actually do

We watch the price of every product we can — at every brand we track — every hour, of every day. We keep the full 90-day history. When today's price is meaningfully cheaper than the last three months of tracking, we call it a deal. Not before.

That's it. No inflated "was" prices. No coupon codes that don't work. No fake countdowns.

The rules

A few things we've committed to from day one, in writing, so you can hold us to them:

  • No paid placements. No brand can pay us to rank higher. The order of deals is decided by our algorithm — discount size, 90-day low, stock freshness — not by who's willing to cut us a check.
  • No dark patterns. No popup before you've seen anything. No "only 2 left" urgency. No pre-checked boxes.
  • Prices are verified hourly. If you see a price on Gearfinch, we checked it within the last hour. We show the timestamp.
  • Clear affiliate disclosure. When a click earns us a commission, we say so — in the footer of every page, in a standalone affiliate disclosure, and anywhere we make a specific recommendation.

Who's behind it

A small team — meet them on the team page. We're independent. No VC money. No brand investors. Just a few people who wanted a calmer, more honest way to buy activewear.

What's next

Over the next few weeks we'll be expanding the brands we track, writing proper dupe guides (Lululemon Align alternatives, Alo Airbrush dupes, Gymshark Vital lookalikes), and publishing our data — the stuff you don't see on most deal sites — like actual brand sale calendars and which discounts are genuine lows vs. recycled markdowns.

If that's the kind of shopping tool you've been looking for, you're in the right place.
